Tech Insights (Coming Soon)
Tech Insights was tailored for the Leadership/Executive persona to provide clear, actionable, and real-time visibility into the tech health of their teams. Leaders can monitor track compliance, identify performance trends, and make data-driven decisions about their software development practices. You can view high-level organizational metrics or drill down into specific team performance to gain insights from your Soundcheck data.

Getting Started
Accessing Tech Insights
Tech Insights can be accessed from the main Soundcheck navigation. Look for the "Tech Insights" tab.
Initial View
When you first access Tech Insights, you'll see the main Tech Insights page with:
- Group Selector: Choose the organizational group you want to analyze. By default, your most recently selected group will be chosen. If you haven’t selected a group before, one of the groups you belong to will be automatically pre-selected.
- Filter Options: Search and filter your data.
- View Mode Selector: Select the view mode for tracks and campaigns (table or cards).
- Summary Tiles: Quick overview of key metrics.
- Campaigns and Tracks: How well teams are meeting track/campaign requirements.
View Modes
Tech Insights offers several view modes to suit different analysis needs:
Table View
Provides a tabular format with sortable columns and clickable rows:
- Name: Track/campaign name.
- Checks: Number of checks in the track/campaign across all levels.
- Entities: Number of entities owned by the selected group and its subgroups that the track/campaign is applicable to.
- Compliance: Percentage of passing checks across all applicable entities and track levels.
- Owner: Track/campaign owner information.
For a detailed analysis, click on any table row to access a breakdown of the corresponding track or campaign's compliance by team.
Cards View
Displays tracks and campaigns as clickable cards showing:
- Name: Track/campaign name.
- Owner: Track/campaign owner information.
- Checks: Number of checks in the track/campaign across all levels.
- Entities: Number of entities owned by the selected group and its subgroups that the track/campaign is applicable to.
- Compliance: Percentage of passing checks across all applicable entities and track levels.
For a detailed analysis, click on any card to access a breakdown of the corresponding track or campaign's compliance by team.
Groups and Hierarchy
Tech Insights organizes data hierarchically based on your organization's structure. You can:
- Select a top-level group to analyze
- Navigate through organizational hierarchies
- View metrics at different organizational levels
- Filter by specific groups or subgroups
Using Tech Insights
Selecting Your Data
- Choose a Group: Use the group selector to pick your organizational scope.
- Filter Tracks: Use the filters to refine your view to specific tracks or campaigns.
- Search: Enter keywords to find specific tracks or teams.
Group Selection
The group selector is the primary way to scope your Tech Insights analysis to specific organizational units.
Using the Group Selector
The Group Selection dialog offers several methods to find and select your desired organizational group:
Search All Groups
- Use the autocomplete search field to find any group by name
- Type to filter and select from all available organizational groups
- Shows "No group selected" when no group is currently selected
Previously Selected Groups
- Quick access to groups you've used recently
- Displayed as clickable buttons for easy re-selection
- Helps you quickly return to frequently analyzed groups
My Groups
- Shows groups that you're directly associated with
- Provides easy access to your immediate organizational context
- Displayed as clickable buttons when no group is currently selected
When the Advanced Selector toggle is on, the Group Selection dialog offers an additional method to find and select your desired organizational group:
Search By Group Type
- Browse groups organized by type (e.g., teams, departments, business units)
- Hierarchical organization matching your company structure
- Expandable categories for different organizational levels
Selection Process
- Browse or Search: Use any of the available methods to find your desired group.
- Preview Selection: When the Advanced Selector toggle is on, detailed group information is displayed in the dialog.
- Apply Changes: Click "Apply" to confirm your selection and see the results.
- Persistent State: Your selection is saved and will be remembered for future sessions.
Understanding Summary Tiles
The summary tiles provide at-a-glance metrics:
- Campaigns: Number of active campaigns applicable to entities owned by the selected group and its subgroups.
- Tracks: Number of tracks applicable to entities owned by the selected group and its subgroups.
- Average Compliance: Overall compliance percentage across all tracks and teams in scope.
- Teams: Number of teams in scope (selected group and its subgroups).
- Entities: Total number of entities owned by the selected group and its subgroups.
Hierarchical Navigation
For a detailed analysis, click on any table row or card to access a breakdown of the corresponding track or campaign's compliance by team:
To navigate back to the main Tech Insights page, use either the breadcrumb navigation above the page header, or click on the "All Tracks" button to the right of the page header.
Detailed Analysis
Teams Table
Provides a tabular format with sortable columns and selectable rows:
- Name: Team name. Clicking on a team name will bring you to the Track Insights page with the Owner filter pre-selected.
- Entities: Number of entities owned by the team that the selected track/campaign is applicable to.
- Compliance: Percentage of passing checks across all applicable entities owned by the team and all levels of the selected track.
Selecting a team from a row in the table will display a sidebar with a compliance breakdown by check.
Summary Tab
Provides insights into team performance:
- Teams Needing Attention: Teams with compliance < 50%.
- Top Performing Teams: Teams with compliance > 80%.
Clicking on a team will bring you to the Track Insights page with the Owner filter pre-selected.
Entities Tab
Shows detailed entity-level information for all entities affected by the selected track and owned by the selected group and its subgroups.
- Entity Details: Entity's name, system, owner, type and lifecycle.
- Checks Compliance: Percentage of passing checks within the selected track.
Selecting a team in the Teams table will filter the entities table down to those owned by the selected team only.
Sidebar Information
Selecting a team in the Teams table will show a sidebar with the following details:

Team Details: Information about the selected team/group. Clicking on a team will bring you to the Track Insights page with the Owner filter pre-selected.

Check Compliance Breakdown: Detailed check-by-check analysis. Clicking on a check will bring you to the Check Insights page with the Owner filter pre-selected.
To close the Sidebar, click on the X button at the top of the Sidebar or unselect the team in the Teams table.
