About Backstage
Backstage is an open source framework for building internal developer portals (IDPs). As software development environments become more complex, IDPs like Backstage help decrease cognitive load for developers, allowing them to do what they want to do: create great software. Backstage provides a single pane of glass for your entire tech infrastructure, streamlining software development from end to end.
Companies of all shapes and sizes — ranging from fintech startups and international banking groups to automobile manufacturers, online fashion retailers, and Fortune 500s — have adopted Backstage to improve developer experience and productivity in their engineering orgs, while unlocking innovation for their businesses.
Backstage + AWS
Hyperscaling developer productivity
Customers rely on AWS to build and run their open source software in the cloud. With Backstage’s extensible architecture, it is easy for customers running Backstage on AWS to integrate their AWS services using officially supported AWS plugins for Backstage. Customers like Toyota North America have saved millions of dollars by deploying applications using Backstage and AWS. To learn more about building on AWS with Backstage, check out the sessions from AWS re:Invent 2024.
Over the last year, we’ve been focused on expanding our partnership with AWS to simplify how their customers can purchase and deploy Spotify’s Backstage plugins in the AWS cloud. Maintaining and supporting Backstage is also simpler than ever, now that customers can easily tap into our years of experience and expertise through Spotify Enterprise Support for Backstage on the AWS Marketplace.
Simplifying your IT spend
The AWS Marketplace is a curated digital catalog that offers a variety of third-party software, data, and services. Not only does the AWS Marketplace make it easier to consolidate your licenses by providing a single view across your IT spend, but it also allows you to save time and money in your procurement process.
Purchasing Spotify for Backstage products in the AWS Marketplace contributes toward your AWS Enterprise Discount Program (EDP) — a savings program from AWS for enterprise customers. With private offers, you can negotiate flexible pricing, terms, and payment options directly with Spotify, while benefiting from consolidated billing through AWS.
