# Xirp changelog

> Customer-visible changes and beta notes for Xirp.

Xirp is in active beta development. This page records customer-visible changes as beta releases become available.

## Beta

The current beta includes:

* macOS desktop application
* Claude Code, Codex, and Gemini coding-agent sessions
* Persistent terminal sessions and multi-session grid view
* Local projects, Git worktrees, file editing, skills, and rules
* Portal authorization and catalog-based repository resolution
* Workspace MCP context for eligible sessions
* Manual session transcript upload to Workspaces
* Local settings, notifications, keyboard shortcuts, and diagnostics

  Screens, labels, supported integrations, and behavior may change during the
  beta. Xirp uses in-product announcements and update instructions when an
  action is required.

## Known beta limitations

* Xirp is available on macOS only.
* GitHub catalog onboarding uses organization-level GitHub Apps.
* Automatic monorepo onboarding is not supported.
* Session transcripts must be uploaded manually.
* A Workspace-launched session needs a catalog component with a source repository.

## Check your version

Open **Settings**. The installed version and update status appear at the bottom of the settings navigation. When an update is available, follow the in-app instructions and restart Xirp if requested.
